1951 Wyandotte, 24hr. Service Wrecker Truck in Original Box

1951 Wyandotte, 24hr. Service Wrecker Truck in Original Box

Just look at this truck! Style, color, quality; it has it all! It's never been played with and was only recently out of the box for the first time. Your looking at a 55+ year old toy (store stock?) that has somehow managed to remain untouched to retain its factory fresh qualities. The truck grades NM+. The box grades NM. Both are astounding.

Style: embossed cab-over engine series with inserted chrome plated grille assembly, operating winch with separate crank, embossed tires.

Color: brilliant yellow with deep black cab roof and wrap around bumper, cherry red boom, black tires, large red, white, and blue decals.

Quality: heavy gauge lithographed pressed steel, solid cab and trailer attachment, front hood seam halves perfectly aligned, boom is factory tabbed to the trailer, die cast metal crank winch.

In addition it comes complete with its original metal chain and tow hook, plastic emergency light (which would probably break off after 5 minutes playing with it), and plastic tow chain spool. The winch is die cast metal and it comes in its original paper bag. It was not sold with tools.

The box is incredible. Illustrations of the speeding truck appear on two panels. Remaining panels show a happy youngster playing with the wrecker and a towed auto (however, the truck was sold singularly without a tow vehicle).

Size: 13½".
